Jim Tanner has been a community corrections professional since 1970. He has worked with both adult and juvenile offenders in a wide variety of capacities, served on the faculty of three universities, and has provided training for corrections professionals since 1980. His work has been nationally recognized.

Mary Anne Tanner has been providing services to children, adolescents, and families since 1976.  She has directed residential and day treatment programs for adolescents, been in private practice as a clinician, served as a special education coordinator for a metropolitan school district, and been a school social worker since 1980.
